This is a quick and easy guide to creating personalized online titles for staff, as it usually lists your profile's user title instead of a title for staff online.
Go to the widget_members_online template.
Find:
[ Hidden content ]
For administrator, super moderator and moderator, replace with:
[ Hidden content ]
You will need to replace x, y, or z inside this with your user group ID:
To find your user group number, click on the user group in the settings of your admin panel and search in the URL. The number you see in the URL is the number for your user group.
Then you just need to change the user's title from the right div to the right title for it to appear in Staff online.
To do this for more than 3 user groups, you just need to add another xenforo elseif statement like above and place it right after the first 3.
Now when you check with staff online, the username should now be the custom username.
What this model modification allows you to do:
It allows you to have a staff title in the online staff of your choice without having to use the default user title assigned to staff. It allows you to use a custom title visible only to online staff. This is mainly used when someone does not want their user title to be their staff name but wants to use user ranks or some other form of presentation of their staff identity. In other words, you only change the title of the staff online title.
